The board of directors (BOD) consists of four senior business executives, representing founders, investors, business and science. Together the BOD holds substantial experience in the relevant areas of the international biotech industry, management and financing.

 

 

Ms. Ingelise Saunders, Chairman, has more than 30 years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry and is today President and CEO of TD Vaccines A/S.

 

Previously Ingerlise Saunders was President and CEO of ACE BioSciences (DK) for 5 years. Prior to the positions in small biotech, she has spent 3 years with Celltech as the CEO of Celltech Pharmaceuticals plc (UK) with global commercial responsibility and 16 years with Novo Nordisk in a number of top level executive management positions both in Denmark and in UK. Prior to this she held positions at GSK and Schering Plough in senior sales and marketing.

 

Ingelise Saunders has a Cand.Pharm. degree from the University of Copenhagen, Royal Danish School of Pharmacy and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing. She is a director with Scandinavian Life Science Invest AB, Topotarget A/S and ALK-Abello A/S.

 

 

Magnus Corfitzen.  Master in Mathematical Economics from University of Aarhus in Denmark which included studies at Harvard University, Cambridge, UK. Currently a member of the Sunstone Capital Life Science Ventures team that was spun out of Vaekstfonden in May 2007.

 

Magnus Corfitzen joined Vaekstfonden in 2002 and has been involved in numerous start-up companies, including deal structuring, financing and development strategy, management recruitment and board membership.

 

Furthermore also responsible for improving deal flow as well as implementing new investment processes in Life Science Ventures. He has a background as Portfolio Manager in Danske Capital with responsibility for all investments in publicly quoted biotech and medtech companies, with more than Euro 500 million in investments.

 

Prior to this Magnus Corfitzen served as consultant with McKinsey & Company within finance, venture and pharmaceutical companies. Magnus Corfitzen is currently a member of the board in Nordic Vaccine, Vivolution and Dentofit.

 

 

Erik Kromann (Founder). B.Sc. in chemical engineering from the Danish Technical University and a business degree in accounting (HD) from the Copenhagen Business School. He has a career of more than 30 years in general management, management of science and technology and management of sales and marketing in international corporations.

 

He worked at Sadolin & Holmblad (now Akzo Nobel) for 12 years holding various positions in Denmark and abroad. Having been Executive VP, Sales, and Regional Director, the Americas for Hempel Coatings, Inc., he participated in a management buy-in of the pharmaceutical company Scanpharm A/S as Executive VP, Science and Technology.

 

For 7 years he worked for the Superfos Group as President for Superfos Chemicals and later Superfos Biosector (now Brenntag Biosector), a biotech company focused on vaccine adjuvants.

 

President and CEO in start-ups in the biotech field, and Director in a number of high-tech companies in recent years. Licensing professional assisting companies and research institutions in technology transfer Since September 2000. Responsibilities also encompass NOVI Innovation A/S, a science incubator that provides financing and incubator facilities to innovative start-up companies.  

 

 

Peter Boman Samuelsen. Master of Chemical Engineering, polymer chemistry, from The Technical university of Denmark, 1973. Experience from more than 30 years research and development work in the medical device industy. CEO in Acarix A/S.

 

Former Director Coloplast Corporate R&D 1995-2007, Vice President Coloplast Incubation (corporate venture) 2007-2009 and Vice President Coloplast Global R&D 2009-. Part in the creation of Wound and Skin Care Business Unit (1983).

 

Member of Board of directors in four companies. Member of board of MedicoIndustrien. Member of advisory committees: School of Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Faculty, University of Copenhagen and Faculties of Nature, Engineering and Health at Aalborg University.
